Great product!

The box & ladder are really great. I don't understand why these pre-made ladders don't have an easier way to extend or shorten the ceiling height ...but, hey, I'll figure-out something or bring it down on a sturdy wood box. But, if it works for your height, its a great product.

Super Cool Ladder for Tight Spaces

We installed this pull down ladder in a closet with limited floor space clearance. The ladder projects out substantially when pulling down, but the footprint is very efficient once fully deployed - and it's super sturdy and light! Cool design, and way better than the old wooden folding ladders.

Nice quality ladder

I was very impressed with how easy this ladder was to put up! It was the only option I could find in the size I needed, so I grabbed it and hoped for the best. It seems to be nice quality, and I love how smooth the steps are- No splinters here! The one thing I would change(if it can even be changed) is how the ladder folds up. The attic ladders I have seen in the past folded up each section opposite of each other, like this: / \ /. This one does not do that. It does something more like this: / \ \ / \. It is a little awkward when you are trying to fold it up, but as I said, maybe that's the only way it would work, because it is so long. Anyway, very happy with the ladder otherwise, and I definitely recommend it!

Pretty good ladder

The ladder itself is very nice. The instructions for the installation of the ladder needs some work. The latch system has to be taken apart to install the twist ring but the instructions didn’t say that in any way.

This is not an insulated door. There is no seal where door meets frame. They simply are using the r-value of the wood. Shame on marketing team. We'll made but not insulated

UNI Metal Insulated Folding Attic Ladder 8 ft

install a Folding Attic Ladder. Watched video. Prep house builder opening by hammering all existing nails and brackets flush as possible. Remove existing molding and nails. Prep a new ladder for installation by attaching the handle and removing steps from the frame. Pre-set in frame 2-and-1/2-inch lags in frame. (not supplied) Place all tools needed and ladder parts in the attic. Place temp wood pieces on the opening in sealing. (Not supplied) Attic Person drops the door frame into the rough opening. Our opening was exactly 22 and a 1/2. Luckily, we had a Core Sampling Slide hammer. We used it without a point. Slowly and gently, we were able tap each corner to meet our temp braces. Attic person leveled and drilled home our lags with an impact driver. We then used composite shims to secure our spaces and attached them with 2 and 1/2 Phillips screws. Measured and cut off a foot off the metal ladder. Reattached rubber foot pads to the bottom of the ladder. Tested with several people waiting to place boxes in the Attic. Tools (slide hammer, Worx WX176L.9 20V Switch driver Cordless Drill & Driver, WORX Power Share 20-volt max 1/4-in Cordless Impact Driver, hammer, Level, screwdriver) Hardware (lags 2 and 1/2, 2 and 1/2 Phillips screws) And of course our UNI Metal Insulated Folding Attic Ladder 8 ft - 8.69 ft (Rough Opening: 22.5" x 36") with 352-lb Load Capacity Delivered seamlessly by attic-ladders.com. Molding to be done in future.

My attic previously had a very old-fashioned access—just a drywall panel covering the opening. I replaced it with a UNI metal folding ladder and I am truly happy with the final result. It is sturdy and airtight, providing a good seal against cold and warm air coming from the attic. The ladder is very easy to operate and has a solid weight capacity. The price is also affordable compared to competitors on the market. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and will definitely buy another one for my garage attic project

I've lived in my townhouse for over 30 years. The attic access was in the master bedroom closet and we climbed up/down 6 foot ladder to get in/out. We FINALLY got this and it's a game changer for us. My husband said it was easy to install and he moved access into the upstairs hallway. It makes getting in there and out a breeze. It did take a little time to get used to the 4 fold stairs but with new flooring and shelves upstairs, we're starting the decluttering year off right!

A QUALITY PULL DOWN STAIR

I just replaced my 30 year old pull down stair with the S-GLOB. The installation instructions are written and illustrated very well, The unit was packaged very well and the unit itself was of very good quality. The S-GLOB seals well, works smoothly, has an insulated-thick structural door that is not expected to warp or sag. The ladder has comfortable toe relief and is easy to climb. Even the wood in the ladder is clear and looks nice. I have a Louisville aluminum in the garage that is a more traditional style and I do not like it as well.
